Guardians of the Cedars - National Lebanese Movement
Central Directorate

The Central Directorate of the Party of the Guardians of the Cedars- National Lebanese Movement, held its weekly meeting and discussed the current Lebanese, regional and international situation, and issued the following communiqué:

In view of the recent situation in the region and our allegiance to the Lebanese nation not excluding an inch of its soil or a person of its people, we wish to underline the following constants:

  1. Lebanon, because of the depraved policy conducted by his government, has become a battlefield upon which foreigners settle their feuds, and our people receive their blows;
  2. The binding of the Lebanese track with the Syrian track is a devilish heresy, imposed by the Syrian regime, designed to prevent Lebanon from returning to a stable situation on the economic and security levels. This is especially true after the implementation of the UNSC Decision 425 on the part of Israel and the refusal to implement UNSC Decision 520 which requires the withdrawal of all foreign troops from Lebanon;
  3. The Central Directorate of the Party calls, in the present historical situation in which the whole region is passing, to hold a Lebanese-Lebanese conference including everybody without exception, after which the conferees will sign a national pact of honor rejecting completely Arabity that was a plague on Lebanon and his people and at the same time turn away from the West that watches unconcerned our plight; and defend all our borders by our own security forces without recourse to any other non-Lebanese forces, and have our people, all our people stand firmly behind our forces and give them complete support. Thereby only is our salvation!

Our national interest requires perception and vigilance. And the time has come for us to rule ourselves by ourselves; to protect our land, homes, property and honor by ourselves, in application of the Lebanese proverb: Only your nail scratches your skin!

At the service of Lebanon,

Etienne Sacre. .
